About G. Michael Vasey
I was born in the city of Hull in England, and grew up in East Yorkshire, the eldest of three boys.
My childhood was a little unusual at times starting with the little blue man that jumped out of a mirror in my bedroom, shot me with a toy gun, and then jumped out of the window! My parents heard the gunshot.
I used to imagine that I was locked in a room hooked up to a machine through which I lived my life in a computer simulation. That was 1966.
During my teens, I was the center of poltergeist-type activity and became very interested in magic and the esoteric. At age 18, I made my bid for freedom and attended the University of Aston in Birmingham where I continued my interest in magic and met some very interesting people. I also managed to gain a first class honours degree in Geology somehow, and went on to Strathclyde University to do research which resulted in a Ph.D. in geology. During my research into the paleoenvironment of the Carboniferous in Nova Scotia, I managed to fall in love with North America.
After leaving college, I started my career as Geologist and started a family, living in Aberdeen, London, and Basingstoke, before managing to find an exit to the USA. I spent much of the next 20-years in Houston, Texas, where my boys were raised and all three of them still reside there. While in the US, I accidentally found the Servants of the Light and took their 5-year meditation course. I am now a second degree initiate of that school and help to supervise other students. I wrote my first book, Inner Journeys, at this time, which outlines my early life, discovery of the school, and experiences of taking its course.
I now live in the Czech Republic with my partner and my young daughter, where I write, and act as an analyst in the commodities trading technologies business.
I am fascinated by what we are and why we are here. I am captivated by reality and what it might be. I am a firm believer in magic and the power of the mind to shape reality. Thats what I write about, think about, and obsess about…..
This website represents some of my diverse interests ranging from a professional interest in the Energy and Commodities sector to my attempts at poetry. I like to write and have written prolifically with some 300+ articles on energy and commodities including at least 6 books and chapters in other books.
